The Coastal Workforce Development Board’s Regional 2016-2020 Strategic Regional

Plan is available for review by the general public on their website:

The 4-Year Strategic Regional Plan provides information on workforce development

programs funded under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014. These

funds are allocated from the United States Department of Labor-Employment Training

Administration (USDOL-ETA) to the Georgia Department of Economic Development-

Workforce Division (GDEcD-WFD) and then to the twelve (12) regions of Georgia,

respectively. Funding is used to provide employment, education, training, and support

services needed by Adults, Dislocated Workers and Youth residents of the Coastal

Region: Bryan, Bulloch, Camden, Chatham, Effingham, Glynn, Liberty, Long,

McIntosh and Screven Counties to succeed in the labor force.

The public comment period will expire at close of business on September 31, 2016. All

comments on the plan must be submitted via email to: coastalworks@savannahga.gov. A

hard copy of the plan is also available by request by calling (912) 351-6381.
